Chestnut Laths

The chestnut laths are used in the second array of roofing and are indispensable for the support of the boarding or of the terra cotta tiles. These are produced with sections that range from 8x8 to 12x12 with lengths of 100 cm up to 500 cm. Chestnut wood offers large varieties of strengths thanks to this type of wood, unanimously thought as the most versatile material in italy. The merit is attributed to its technological characteristics, the durability for example which is favoured by the presence of tannin, whereas the other aspect which should not be underestimated is its insensitivity to changes in temperature and humidity, so the outside conditions don't affect the wood.
